Rev Candace Fowler joined First Church in 2017. She received her Masters of Divinity
at St. Paul School of Theology, Kansas. She is an ordained minister in The United
Methodist Church and currently serves as the Lead Pastor at First United Methodist
Church (Celebration Center and Thompson Site) in Sedalia.
Candace's passion in ministry is relational. She wants to help all people come to see
how God, through Jesus Christ and the salvation offered through the cross, came to
earth to be in relationship with us. In Genesis 1 we read that God created the world:
people, and creatures great and small, and saw it was good. God calls us to partner
with God in the world - bringing healing through forgiveness of sins and leading all of
creation to be made whole. It is through loving God and loving others as ourselves that
the world will come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Candace and her husband, Brian, have been married since 1995 have five
children, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter named Marlo.
